The Senate Library is the major source of information on the Institution. Brimming with its collection of legislative documents, journals and law books, the Senate Library is an excellent place of reference for Senate Members and staff. For information not available in the Senate Library, a network of libraries in the Capitol Complex and throughout the Commonwealth may be used to satisfy requests.

In addition, the Library serves as the keeper and teller of The Senate Story. Opened in Fall 2018, the Library now houses a permanent exhibition and three featured exhibitions - Inspired. Uncovered. Honored. The Untold Institutional History of the Pennsylvania Senate - all telling key parts of The Senate Story. The Senate and the Senate Library have a fascinating past, which was uncovered and is now shared in this historic space. The idea for this homage was inspired by our nation's Library of Congress and has been brought to life through this exhibition.
